The Boston Licensing Board today found the Wendy's at American Legion Highway and Walk Hill Street in Roslindale had violated the terms of its city license by staying open until 3 a.m. - and warned the chain that before it seeks permission to actually stay open that late legally it's going to have to convince nearby residents and police it's not contributing to the late-night street parties that have long plagued the area. "Cars are idling, crowds are gathering and it's become a dangerous situation," board Chairwoman Kathleen Joyce said this morning, following a Tuesday hearing at which a sergeant from BPD District E-18 said that when it was illegally open until 3 a.m., the square-burger joint had become a pit stop for the late-night revelers.
