A week after devastating floods struck Nepal, rescue teams are racing against time to find thousands of people still missing. More than 1,100 people have reportedly died, while families continue searching remote mountainous areas for their loved ones. India has stepped up relief and rescue efforts, including operations at hydropower tunnel sites and sending a fifth relief aircraft carrying an 11-member rescue team, specialised equipment and 5.5 tonnes of essential medicines. A US-based crisis response team has also arrived to assist. Actor Sonu Sood has joined relief efforts, while donors and organisations are providing financial support as Nepal seeks more international aid.
