Exhibition, Celebrating 35 Years of Bulgaria's Constitution, Opens in Montana.

An exhibition, titled “35 Years of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria”, will be on display in Montana from Tuesday until September 11. It has been arranged in the foyer of the Geo Milev Regional Library, where it is open to visitors. The library’s director, Anelia Ivanova-Todorova, told BTA that the exhibition, prepared by the National Assembly under the leadership of its current chair, Mihaela Dotsova, features documents and photographs from the summer of 1991, when the new Constitution was debated and adopted by Parliament. The exhibition includes copies of parliamentary transcripts, photographs of the 400 members of Parliament at the time, and moments from the debates and adoption of the Constitution on July 12, 1991. It also presents the draft constitutions proposed by the various parliamentary groups in the then-Parliament, as well as drafts submitted by citizens.
