Letter: Don’t pursue impeachment

I read Dan DeWeese’s letter with interest (“Impeachment should be considered,” Our Readers’ Views, Aug. 22). In it he noted that he has recently changed his mind about whether Democrats, if they win a majority in the House and possibly the Senate, should pursue a third impeachment of President Trump … from “No” to “Yes.” He cites the litany of reasons for his shifting opinion: from the astonishing corruption during the two years of Trump’s second term to using the Department of Justice to punish supposed enemies.
