A popular cold remedy sold nationwide has been recalled because of potential microbial contamination. Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs and Zicam AllClear Swabs were voluntarily recalled Aug. 10, according to a Food and Drug Administration enforcement report. The recall, from Zicam parent company Church & Dwight, said 318,600 cartons of the swabs were recalled after inspectors found “out of limit” results during microbial testing. The recall is limited exclusively to its swab products, Zicam said. No other Zicam products were impacted.
