The Chicago Bears are donating $200,000 to support recovery efforts across Chicago’s south suburbs and northwest Indiana following a series of destructive storms earlier this month. The Bears announced on Saturday $100,000 will go to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, while an additional $100,000 will support efforts through Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Gary. Both organizations are working to help residents recover by assisting those without power and providing help with food, clothing and housing, according to a news release.
