A caretaker hired to look after a 77-year-old man with dementia at a care facility in northwest Albuquerque has been arrested, according to a New Mexico prosecutor's office. Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman said Stephanie Paiz locked herself inside the man's room on Friday, Aug. 14, before committing the heinous acts. Paiz was charged with three counts of criminal sexual penetration and one count of criminal sexual contact. An employee of the facility rushed to unlock the door and stop Paiz, according to Bregman.
