A 31-year-old man who was shot during an argument in an East San Diego alley was expected to survive his injury, the San Diego Police Department reported Saturday. SDPD officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. Friday to the east alley in the 4100 block of Chamoune Avenue in the Teralta East neighborhood, where they found a victim who had been shot in the leg, officers said. The victim and gunman were arguing when the suspect produced a silver revolver and fired two to three shots at the victim, according to police. The unidentified victim was hit once near his left hip. The suspect fled southbound through the alley, according to officers, who said the victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital. His injury was not considered life- threatening. The suspect was described by witnesses as a man in his 30s approximately 5-feet-7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with black hair, wearing a black shirt and jeans.
