A Miami-Dade mother was arrested after officials found that her 18-month-old son died from ingesting fentanyl and cocaine, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Authorities said Miami police and fire rescue responded on Sunday, Jan. 3 at around 3:50 a.m. to an unresponsive male infant. The toddler was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but did not survive. “The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Department conducted an autopsy, which revealed the presence of fentanyl and a trace amount of cocaine in the victim’s blood,” a statement from FDLE reads. Officials said an investigation revealed that narcotics were left in an unlocked room in the residence where the child was found. “Investigators determined the victim accidentally ingested a small amount of the drugs that were in that room,” FLDE stated. Authorities on Thursday arrested the boy’s mother, 29-year-old Pearlanderia Elzashania Boujolly, in his overdose death. They said she was not inside the residenc
