Observances of 149th Anniversary of Shipka Battle Open on Friday

A national commemoration of the 149th anniversary of the three-day Battle of Shipka will begin on Friday evening with a concert by the ensemble of the Bulgarian Armed Forces in Gabrovo, said the regional administration, which organizes the anniversary events. In a specially designated area, visitors will be able to view authentic weapons and military uniforms, dress up as Bulgarian volunteer militia fighters (Opalchentsi), and receive a free souvenir photo.
