White Sox prospects Roch Cholowsky, Billy Carlson done for 2026

The season is over early for two of the White Sox ’ top prospects. On Saturday, the team announced infielders Roch Cholowsky and Billy Carlson are done for 2026. Cholowsky, the first overall pick in the July draft, is being shelved with right wrist soreness. Carlson, the 10th choice in 2015, has a skin infection on his left leg. Cholowsky was at High-A Winston-Salem and got off to a slow start in his professional career, slashing .167/.326/.333 in nine games. At Low-A Kannapolis, Carlson slashed .256/.388/.338 in 57 games. Per MLB Pipeline, Cholowsky is the Sox’ top prospect and 11th-best in baseball. Carlson is the Sox’ No. 3 prospect and 62nd overall. Both Winston-Salem and Kannapolis have two weeks left in their respective seasons.
