Beabadoobee – “Memories”

Beabadoobee was already a big star before this year — she wouldn't be booked in arenas and amphitheaters otherwise — but the singles from next month's Pylon have suggested a leveling up. After whetting our appetites with the swooning non-album teaser " All I Did Was Dream Of You ," Beatrice Laus gave us the raucous pop-rocker " Sun Has Set " and the sumptuous trip-hop slow jam " Switchblade ." Now comes "Memories," a dreamy rocker that manages to move with brisk momentum despite its many layers of beauty.
