Tottenham double-winning icon Terry Dyson dies aged 91

Tottenham have announced that Terry Dyson has passed away at the age of 91. The former winger featured over 200 times for the north Londoners and was part of their historic double triumph in the 1960/61 season. Spurs have paid tribute to their double-winning hero Dyson Rex Dyson was part of the squad that, at the time, became the third side in English football history to win the First Division and FA Cup in the same season. He scored 17 goals across both competitions, one of which came in their 2-0 FA Cup final win over Leicester City. “The club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of our former player, Terry Dyson at the age of 91,” Spurs said in a statement. “Terry was a key part of our double-winning side in 1961, scoring in the FA Cup Final. He also scored twice in the 1963 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final.
