Bulgaria Seeks to Attract More US Investment, Expand Bilateral Economic Cooperation

Opportunities to attract more US investment to Bulgaria and expand bilateral economic cooperation were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Alexander Poulev and representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham Bulgaria), the Economy Ministry said Friday. The meeting was attended by AmCham Bulgaria President Tommy Ver Elst and Chief Executive Officer Ivan Mihaylov. Sectors identified as having potential for expanded cooperation included energy, artificial intelligence, innovation, technology transfer and high-tech manufacturing. “The United States is a key strategic partner for Bulgaria, both geopolitically and economically, across a number of high-value-added sectors,” Poulev said.
