A brush fire sparked in the rural community of Dehesa in east San Diego County on Wednesday afternoon, threatening structures, prompting evacuations and closing roads. The Dehesa 7 Fire is burning at a dangerous rate of spread uphill toward Alpine Heights, a residential community, and is immediately threatening structures in the area, according to Watch Duty. The fire is burning at Dehesa Road and Red Gum Road. By 3:30 p.m., the flames had spread to 15 acres. Evacuation orders and warnings have been issued for areas around the fire.
