Milwaukee District West trains were delayed on Tuesday afternoon during a police investigation into a person who was struck by a train in a northwest suburb. Just before 4 p.m., Metra officials said outbound MD-W trains were halted near the Schaumburg station at 2000 South Springinsguth Road as police investigated. Inbound trains were passing through the station with restricted speeds. The person who was struck survived but was transported to a local hospital and their condition was not immediately known, officials said. “Commuters should expect delays,” according to a joint social media post from the Village of Roselle and Roselle Fire Department. Aerial video captured by NBC Chicago Sky 5 showed several police cars at the scene during the investigation. Service updates from Metra can be found here . No additional information was immediately available.
