Miami Hurricanes running back Jordan Lyle is accused of driving away from a police officer at estimated speeds of 130 mph, an arrest affidavit revealed Tuesday. Lyle, 20, was arrested on Aug. 13 and faces charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding at a high speed and reckless driving, according to the affidavit from the Sunrise Police Department. The incident happened on July 10, when a Sunrise Police officer observed a gray BMW speeding in the area near the Sawgrass Expressway north of the West Sunrise Boulevard entrance ramp. The officer, who was conducting traffic enforcement, registered that the BMW was going 92 mph in a 65-mph speed zone, the affidavit stated. As the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the BMW “failed to yield and rapidly accelerated from (the officer),” police said.
