Death investigation underway in Homestead

Authorities are investigating a person’s death in Homestead on Tuesday. Police focused their investigation on a two-story apartment complex in the area of Northwest 6th Avenue and 328th Street. Video showed a yellow tarp at the scene covering what is presumed to be a body, along with a medical examiner’s van. An NBC6 crew spoke to people at the scene who identified themselves as friends of the victim and said he was a man. Authorities did not provide his name.
