A real estate investment firm in Fort Worth is doing something good to change how mental health is understood, diagnosed, and treated in Tarrant County. Sisters Susan Miller and Jessica Miller Essl co-founded M2GVentures . A personal family heartbreak then motivated them to launch a social impact project called Soar . They wanted to build a funding model around mental health needs that are critical but often overlooked. Their effort just took a big step forward. They announced a new partnership with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to launch the Tarrant County Trauma and Grief Collaborative. The initiative will expand access to proven trauma- and grief-informed care for North Texas children and families by training school- and community-based professionals to better support children in navigating grief and loss.
