A man is facing a murder charge after an altercation between roommates led to a fatal stabbing in Hollywood over the weekend, police said. Officers responded to the stabbing in the 7200 block of McKinley Street around 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Hollywood Police officials said. The injured victim, 22-year-old Andres Oscar Perez Ramirez, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives later determined the incident involved an altercation between roommates that led to the stabbing. The suspect, 28-year-old Pedro Matom Cobo, was found by officers in the area wearing a shirt that was covered in blood, an arrest warrant said. He was arrested on a second-degree murder charge and booked into jail. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Hollywood Police at 954-764-4357.
