State Fair of Texas cuts prices for admission, parking

The State Fair of Texas promised a cheaper experience for people headed to Fair Park after receiving feedback from fairgoers frustrated with prices during the 2025 run. Fair attendance fell last year by around 385,000 visitors , with some attendees telling NBC 5 on social media that the cost of going to the fair felt too high. Organizers said they spent the past year evaluating where they could make changes and working with vendors on ways to give fairgoers greater value. “We take that feedback seriously,” said Karissa Condoianis, State Fair of Texas senior vice president of public relations, in a statement. Admission prices will drop, with a $2 reduction for all adult daily tickets and $10 tickets for children ages 12 and under every day. Adults can also get in for the new $10 child price after 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. In 2025, child admission ranged from $14 to $18 depending on the day.
