During a Monday meeting with reporters at the municipal headquarters, Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov said that hosting Eurovision 2027 is not the finish line but the beginning of a huge amount of work that has already started. Bulgarian National Television (BNT) Director General Milena Milotinova also took part in the news conference. “Hosting the contest is not the finish line; it is the beginning. The final will be on May 15, and on May 16 I want to have the opportunity, together with Ms Milotinova, to announce that Bulgaria has performed exceptionally well as a host,” Nikolov said. He added that the aim is for Bulgaria to set records as host and for all guests and participants to leave satisfied with the organisation and reception. Preparations have already begun. The Mayor said that procedures to be carried out under the Public Procurement Act were launched as early as August 14. He assured that the process would be transparent and that the media would be kept fully informed about it
