Hit-and-run driver who lied about car that struck person in Hallandale Beach arrested, cops say

A woman accused of a hit-and-run crash in Hallandale Beach and reporting that another car did it was arrested, police said. Francesca Marie Yesbick was charged with failure to stop/remain at a crash involving serious bodily injury. According to Hallandale Beach Police, officers on July 18 arrived at the 600 block of West Hallandale Beach Boulevard after receiving reports of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian. During their investigation, officers reviewed city camera footage and license plate reader data and were able to determine that the car involved in the crash was a white Mitsubishi that was heading westbound on West Hallandale Beach Boulevard when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway. Police said the vehicle stayed at the scene for about 30 seconds, but nobody in the vehicle got out. The vehicle then kept going westbound and entered Interstate 95.
