Several schools on ‘secure protocol' due to investigation at Colleyville Heritage High School

Multiple schools in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD have been placed on “secure” protocol due to an investigation at Colleyville Heritage High School. According to the school district, Heritage Elementary, Heritage Middle, the Early Childhood Development Center, and iUniversity Prep have been placed on “secure” protocol due to the ongoing investigation. The district said when “secure” is initiated, students and staff remain inside the building and conduct business as usual, but exterior doors remain locked and visitors are not granted access to the school. Colleyville Heritage High School has also been placed on a “secure” protocol as the investigation continues. The investigation at Colleyville Heritage High School is precautionary, GCISD said.
