bta.bg · 3h

The Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad (ABSA) marked its 19th anniversary on August 15. Established in 2007, the association brings together Bulgarian schools, teachers, parents and supporters from around the world, working to help Bulgarian children abroad learn their native language, history and traditions and maintain their connection with Bulgaria, ABSA told BTA. Over the years, ABSA has developed a community through initiatives, meetings and joint projects supporting Bulgarian education abroad. Its 19th annual conference, held in Sofia in July, brought together 124 members representing Bulgarian Sunday schools in 21 countries across four continents. The association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Bulgarian children and schools worldwide and preserving their connection to Bulgaria. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad signed a partnership agreement at BTA's National Press Club in Sofia on July 17.
