Stricter family immigration rules and lower criminal age to be launched this fall

The Swedish Parliament on Thursday passed several new proposals, including tighter family immigration rules, a lower criminal age, and a family reunification path for some young adults. Among the changes, people with temporary residence permits will soon need to wait at least two years before applying to bring family members to Sweden, though some exceptions apply.
