Continue the Change: Heavy on Ideas but Light on Clear Goals

Continue the Change Friday criticized the recently revealed government programme for lacking objective goals. "The governance programme of Progressive Bulgaria is heavy on ideas but light on clear goals," MP and former Economy and Industry Minister Bogdan Bogdanov told reporters in the BTA Press Club in Plovdiv. He pointed out that while the programme says that no taxes will be raised, it inceases the appropriations for defence and new high-tech industrial zones. "The question we are asking is where this money will come from," said Bogdanov. He also said that the incumbents have voted unprecedented foreign debt levels while saying that they won't take out new loans. "Our suspicion is that reforms will ultimately be postponed and setting clear goals is avoided because either they don't know what the targets should be or they doubt their capacity to achieve them," said Bogdanov. He expressed hope that there will be more to the government programme and more specifics will be revealed late
