‘IT ENDS' movie marathon challenges fans to watch for 36 hours straight

What if your movie marathon never ended? “IT ENDS” will release in theaters nationwide later this month and in anticipation of its release, distributor NEON announced a 36-hour marathon of the movie at Metro Cinema in Manhattan. Participants get a chance to earn money the longer they watch. The challenge is simple: enter the cinema with a group of friends (must come with three other people) and earn money for every minute you last. NEON will pay out 25 cents for every minute, capped at $540 per person. There is also a $500 bonus up for grabs if each member of the group makes it all 36 hours. Everyone participating will also be given a $250 credit toward theater concessions. The 36-hour marathon starts August 21 at 7 p.m. and lasts until August 23 at 7 a.m. “IT ENDS” follows a group of four friends who take a wrong turn and find themselves on a road that, well you guessed it, appears to never end.
