A 17-year-old from Miami is facing serious charges including attempted murder in connection with a shooting last year and multiple armed robberies, authorities said. Jencarlos Gamez had been arrested back on July 21 but is now being charged as an adult in connection with at least three separate crimes, Miami-Dade jail records showed. In one case, he faces multiple counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a firearm for an incident that happened July 19, 2025, at the Berry Farm at 13720 Southwest 216th Street, arrest reports said. According to the reports, one group of people attacked another group in retaliation for a previous attack, and during the encounter a gunshot went off, causing everyone to flee. Investigators later obtained footage of the incident that helped them identify the shooter as Gamez, the reports said.
