More Than 3,100 Jobs Created under EU-Backed Project for Youth Employment

A total of 3,128 jobs for young people aged up to 29 have been created under the EU-backed Youth Employment+ Project – Component 2 since applications opened in February, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) said Wednesday. More than 2,500 contracts with employers have been signed so far, worth a total of over EUR 18 million. Another 1,037 applications covering nearly 1,500 jobs are currently being processed. The measure is expected to support at least 8,520 young people. Employers interested in hiring young people can submit applications through the Secure Electronic Delivery System to the job centre in the area where the activities will be carried out. The project gives young people an opportunity to take their first steps in the labour market, gain practical experience and acquire new skills.
