bta.bg · 6h · first report

The National Action Plan to Promote Gender Equality for 2027-2028 submitted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy envisages measures to reduce the gender pay gap, ensure equal access to the labour market, overcome gender stereotypes and promote equal participation in decision-making. The document has been published for public discussion on the Strategy portal. Combating violence, protecting and supporting victims, as well as overcoming gender stereotypes and sexism, are also among the priorities in the plan, which was drafted in implementation of the National Strategy for Gender Equality (2021-2030). Under the priority of promoting employment among women and men, measures are envisaged to improve qualifications and key competencies, ensure balanced participation of both genders in different sectors and professions, improve work-life balance, achieve a more equal distribution of responsibilities, and encourage more active participation by people with disabilities in economic life.
