Anchor Tony Dokoupil said the texts from Fauci’s government-issued cell phone “offer[ed] a rare window into the private conversations of our public health leaders at the height of the crisis and on an issue of maximum public concern: Was it safe for pregnant women to take the vaccine?” Dokoupil admirably noted Fauci had publicly insisted the vaccine was safe for everyone in early 2021 while speculating in private, with these contradictions worthy of being aired in public. The second segment consisted of an interview with New Jersey OB/GYN Dr. Serena Chen, who missed the boat completely. Unsurprisingly, she defended Fauci, arguing his contradictions were necessary
