Two Youths Charged with Assaulting Two Nepalese Nationals in Plovdiv

The Plovdiv District Prosecution Office has charged two boys, aged 18 and 17, with causing bodily harm to two Nepalese nationals on the night of July 24 to 25 in Plovdiv. The assault was captured on video, the prosecution service said on Tuesday. The boys were arrested on August 10. They are accused of acting in concert as perpetrators, motivated by hooliganism, to inflict minor bodily harm on two Nepalese national, aged 33 and 27. One of the defendants is underage but was capable of understanding the nature and significance of his actions and of controlling his behavior, the press release specifies. At midnight on the night of July 24 to 25, the defendants were in the area of the intersection of Ruski Boulevard and Shesti Septemvri Boulevard in Plovdiv. They noticed two men, who appeared to be foreigners, leaning against some stairs near the sidewalk.
