Off the news: Big Isle trails to get sustainable makeover

Environmental nonprofit Kupu will be adding to its reach soon as it partners with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources on trail improvement projects. This fall, a Kupu team is expected to deploy on Hawaii island, where many paths were created under different standards than hold sway today.
