Johnnie Johnson, a radio DJ and musician, often found himself in La Alma Lincoln Park despite living on the other side of town. During one of those visits, he met the woman who would become his wife. She was a classic Westsider, deeply loyal to her neighborhood. “Before she married me, she did not leave this area. I like to travel a lot.
