3-year-old returns home after he was seriously hurt in Atlantic City hit-and-run

Three-year-old Isaiah Lawrence is walking, talking and playing again, just over a month after police say he was struck by a hit-and-run driver steps away from his home in Atlantic City . His father, Frank Lawrence, wasn’t sure he would ever see the day that his son would ever be up and moving again. “God has been with me. The miracle maker because he got this little guy here,” Lawrence said. Isaiah suffered significant injuries to his skull and spinal cord, according to his father. Lawrence recalled looking at his son immediately after the crash and fearing he would die. “I just looked at him and I just kept saying, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, you know, help my son, not die, you know. Please don’t let my son die,” Lawrence said. Isaiah spent weeks receiving hospital care and rehabilitation. “He was sedated for like six or seven days. And that was killing me,” Lawrence said.
