Sofia Student Receives Special Award for Performing Hungarian and Bulgarian Literature

First-year student Ivelin Dimitrov of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) in Sofia has received a special award in the National Competition for Performing Hungarian and Bulgarian Literature. The award was established by the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Budapest and the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Institute in Sofia to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of László Nagy, one of Hungary's most prominent 20th-century poets, and the 50th anniversary of his receiving the International Botev Prize, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute said on its website and Facebook page. The competition was organized by the Municipality of Shumen and the Liszt Institute. Dimitrov also took part in a July 18 ceremony in Iszkaz, Nagy's birthplace, marking the 50th anniversary of the poet's receipt of the International Botev Prize.
