Two people were killed and three were injured in an air attack on the Odesa region on Tuesday, Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram. "The Russians struck a tanker truck containing residual cooking oil. As a result of the strike, the truck and another vehicle caught fire. According to preliminary information, unfortunately, two people were killed and three were injured," Kiper said. He added that the number of casualties is still being clarified. Relevant emergency services are working at the site of the strike. The regional governor expressed condolences to the families and relatives of those killed. Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
