In a Facebook post on Monday, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said that "the State has often underestimated the scale of the digital manipulation of our children, but this period of institutional neglect is coming to an end." "The brutal murder in Plovdiv and the shameful humiliation of a child in Radomir are not simply crime stories. They are the ultimate, bloody diagnosis of the state of our society. This is not a warning light, but a fire consuming the moral code of the next generation. Our society is no longer merely at risk — it has become its victim," the Minister wrote. "When violence and death become content for social media, we are no longer talking about crime, but about complete pathology," Demerdzhiev added.
