Roberto Mosquera, a Cuban immigrant who has lived in the U.S. since 1980 and completed a prison sentence in 1996, was arrested by ICE last year and sent to a prison in Eswatini, a country in Africa he’d never heard of. After a hunger strike, Mosquera obtained a phone and talked with Nicholas Casey of The New York Times Magazine, to share what is happening there.
