For the second time in a week Liverpool squandered a two-goal lead to lose a pre-season friendly. In Andoni Iraola’s first game at Anfield, Monaco fought back to win 3-2 by virtue of Paris Brunner’s late glancing header seven days on from Leeds United’s 4-2 victory in Chicago, emphasising Liverpool’s alarming lack of depth, particularly in defence.
