Vassil Petrov and Avishai Cohen Close 29th Bansko Jazz Festival

Bansko brought the 29th edition of Bansko Jazz Festival to a close in front of a large crowd that filled the central square on Sunday night. The last two performers of the festival were Vassil Petrov and Avishai Cohen. Petrov performed on stage with a jazz trio and the Razgrad Philharmonic. He presented his project entitled Vassil Petrov: 30 Years on Stage. Avishai Cohen's band Big Vicious included two drummers, two guitarists, and a trumpeter. Cohen told reporters that his formation makes a mix of rock, jazz, and electronic music. The official closing ceremony of this year’s Bansko Jazz Festival was presided over by the Mayor of Bansko, Stoycho Banenski, and the Chair of the Association Festivals in Bulgaria, Iliana Shtereva-Ivanova. Banenski thanked everyone involved in organizing the festival, describing the past ten days as a time of music, emotions, encounters and experiences. The 30th edition will take place from July 30 to August 8, 2027. BTA is a media partner of the event.
