Firefighters Extinguish Wildfire near Asenovgrad

The Plovdiv Fire Safety and Civil Protection Regional Directorate reported on Sunday that the fire that broke out near Asenovgrad on Saturday has been extinguished. During the night, five fire crews remained on site to monitor the area and respond immediately should the fire reignite. In some areas, firefighters carried out additional watering and cooling of the ground to prevent localized hotspots from reigniting. The teams remain on duty on Sunday to monitor the area.
