The 28-year-old has been with the Serie A giants since 2021 when he joined from Chelsea , initially on loan before making the move permanent for £25 million. The six-cap England international won Serie A in his first season at the club, but success has been harder to come by since. Milan finished fifth in the Italian top flight last season, leading to Max Allegri being sacked as manager and replaced by Ruben Amorim .
