Boston Police report gang-unit officers arrested a 14-year-old from Jamaica Plain with a gun loaded with four bullets on Centre Street near Pond Street around noon on Thursday. Police say the gang unit had an eye on the kid as part of an "ongoing investigation" and so watched him get into the car at his home. Police did not say where that was, but said the driver came down Chestnut Avenue, turned onto Green Street and then right onto Centre - where gang officers pulled it over a block or so up just before Pond: Officers approached the vehicle and immediately noticed the suspect breathing heavily. Officers issued an exit order to the suspect who complied. Officers recovered a firearm from the left side of the suspect’s waistband. The suspect was taken into custody. The operator of the motor vehicle was identified and released from the scene.
