Marketing round-up: Green Day TV; Ariana Grande gets seedy; $100bn in TikTok shop merch

musically.com · 4d

Can’t get enough Green Day in your life? Good news, because now you can: an official 24/7 stream YouTube called Green Day TV has been launched which gives fans “around-the-clock immersive programming.” The band says that the stream will feature “a continuous stream of Green Day’s music videos, live performances, and archival behind the scenes” videos. Given the 24/7 nature of the channel, this offers the tantalising possibility that there is a literally infinite amount of Green Day footage in existence. Anyway, it’s a fun and fan-pleasing idea: old-school MTV for your favourite band that you can dip in and out of at any time. There will be “surprise drops, giveaways, trivia”, and – sure, why not – a weekly variety show spotlighting new emerging artists, hosted by Green Day drummer Tré Cool.
