A man was killed when a tractor trailer and tanker truck crashed on Friday afternoon, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. The crash happened around 3:35 p.m. on Aug. 7 near State Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township, officials said. The 52-year-old driver of the tanker truck died after crashing into a tractor-trailer, officials reported. No one else was hurt in the crash. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 10 to confirm the cause of death for the tanker truck driver. The tanker truck driver was from Tamaqua Borough in Schuylkill County and his identity will not be released yet as officials work to inform his family.
