Residents in NW suburban subdivision asked to shelter in place due to police activity

Police activity prompted authorities in northwest suburban McHenry to advise residents in a subdivision to shelter in place Friday evening. In an alert at 5:21 p.m., the McHenry Police Department said it was involved in police activity in the McHenry Shores subdivision. Residents were asked to remain in their homes until further notice.
