An evening dedicated to interfaith dialogue and tolerance was held on 5 August at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Doha, Qatar, the diplomatic mission said in a Facebook post. The special guest of the event was Adib Joudeh Al-Husseini, the custodian of the key to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which houses the Tomb of Christ in Jerusalem. Speaking before members of the Bulgarian community in Qatar, Al-Husseini shared the mission entrusted to his family. He also described the daily ritual during which he personally opens the doors of the Holy Sepulchre every morning and locks them every evening. The embassy’s post highlighted this act as an example of interfaith cooperation, mutual trust and respect.
