Bulgaria remained the European Union country with the highest annual growth of services production in May, having taken first place in the rankings in April, according to the latest estimates from Eurostat, published on the agency’s website. The Bulgarian services production, excluding administrative and support services, increased its output at an annual rate of 8.1% in May, representing a slowdown compared with the previous month, when it rose by 9.3% – the highest rate since November 2022. In April, Bulgaria became the EU country with the highest annual growth in services production, taking the top spot for the first time since data became available in the Eurostat database – from January 2022.
